Physical energy is normally that which can be increased through sparring and physically intensive workouts; while Spiritual energy can be trained through control of one's breath and meditation. Yang energy is commonly seen as life energy, and converting her aura into it allows her to augment her biology, performing feats of superhuman regeneration, or empowerment - such as suddenly growing more muscle fibers or increasing her metabolic rate - in a way that could be seen as mimicking effects of training or hormone supplements.
 Yin energy is the spiritual side, which governs awareness of one's own body. Focusing on Yin energy allows for precision attacks, increased coordination, and at higher levels could even extend outside the body and be channeled for aura attacks.
 Properly balanced Yin and Yang allows for an empowered body to fight with maximum precision, which can be devastating in the hands of a martial artist.
